Established in 1978, The Black Filmmaker Foundation is a non-profit organization that develops and administers programs that assist emerging filmmakers and builds audiences for their work. For more than two decades the BFF has played a pivotal role in the emergence of the contemporary black film movement. BFF curates the annual Acapulco Black Film Festival and hosts the annual BFF Summit, a gathering of the most successful producers and senior executives of color in the motion picture and television industries.
